About the Restaurant

ZIGOALA is a Gatrotavern located at the heart of Athens, right behind Omonoia square that opened in December 2025. Situated at an Off-Broadway location, ZIGOALA is a reinterpretation of the typical Greek 'Mayirio', but with a contemporary touch. Head chef Vassilis Chamam creates dishes made of Organic Local ingredients. Dimitris Koumanis (owner of Heteroclito Wine Bar), curates the tight but well-structured wine list with Greek Wines only, as well as local Beers and Spirits. Mr. Z curates the daily Soundtrack of old-school Greek music from the 1930s to the 1990s.
