About the Restaurant
The Amorous Project drew its identity from New York in the 1930s and 1940s, an era when the strong presence of immigrant communities—and the Italian community in particular—helped shape a new culture around food, hospitality, and nightlife. Family recipes and Mediterranean warmth met the city’s cosmopolitan character, music, and theatrical spirit of the time. Amorous brings this encounter into the present through a contemporary restaurant with a strong Italian-American foundation and a more creative culinary approach. Dishes such as cacio e pepe, tagliata, charcoal-dough pizza, and roasted carrots with honey and tahini reflect this philosophy, combining familiar references with bolder interpretations. Around the kitchen, cocktails, and wine, music, low lighting, and atmosphere come together to create a complete hospitality experience, with food remaining at the heart of it all and the evening taking on the character of an elegant, cinematic supper club.
